MRS. SIGRID OLSON, 97, PASSES SUNDAY; REALLY OLD TIMER Mrs. Sigrid, Louie (Lewis) Olson died Sunday night, and funeral services are being held today from the First Lutheran Church.
She had reached the grand old age of 97 years, and was almost to her 98th year of life, having a little more than two months to go until her 98th birthday.
Death came at the home farm, where she had made her home for the past 75 years.
She was born in Norway, Oct. 28, 1859, and came to this country in 1882 (should be 1868) with her parents, who settled in Prairie (should be Acton, Meeker, Minn.) township. Her husband, Louis (Lewis), passed away a number of years ago.
She is survived by five sons, George, Alfred, Alvin and Morris of Litchville and Harry of LaPorte, Indiana; two daughters, Mrs. Inga Fostervold of Willmar, Minn., and Mrs. Emma Twedt, of Kremlin, Mont.; one brother Christ Johnson, of Grove City, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Molly Ruud, of Cosmos, Minn.; also 25 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Pastor Bob Harrison is in charge of funeral services being held today from the local Lutheran church. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Church cemetery south of Litchville.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2 o'clock at the First Lutheran Church in Litchville with Pastor Robert Harrison officiating. Ida Christianson sang, and Mrs. Dennis Anderson was at the piano. Interment was made in the First Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Harold Fostervold, Leif Fostervold, George Olson Jr., Leslie Olson, Richard Olson and Clayton Olson.
Relatives attending from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fostervold of Kandiyohi, Mr. and Mrs. Leif Fostervold of Atwater, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. George Christianson of Churches Ferry, Mrs. Emma Twedt of Kremlin, Montana, Harry Olson, LaPorte, Ind., Mrs. Inga Fostervold, Mrs. Alford Eliason, Mrs. Carleton Eliason, Mrs. Victor Berg, Mrs. Ole Lief, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarion Baklund of Willmar, Minn.
Mrs. Olson was born at Selbo, Norway, Oct. 28, 1859. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith, at the Selbo Lutheran church near Oslo, Norway. She came to America with her parents at an early age and grew up near Grove City, Minn. She was confirmed in the Ness church and in the same year they moved to North Dakota and settled south of Litchville.
Her husband and four children preceeded her in death. She is survived by five sons; George, Alfred, Alvin and Morris of Litchville, Harry of LaPorte, Indiana, two daughters, Mrs. Inga Fostervold of Willmar, Minn., Mrs. Emma Twedt of Kremlin, Mont., one brother Christ Johnson of Grove City, Minn., one sister Mali Ruud of Cosmos, Minn., also 25 granchildren, 68 great grand children and 1 great grandchild.
