Silas Belew is genetically a "Stroup" descendant
He then married Mary Bell Collins on April 30, 1871 in Jefferson Co. Missouri.
They had 7 children together.

Children of Silas & Mary Bell:
Silas Belew is genetically a "Stroup" descendant, showing there was either a hidden adoption or a non-paternal event like an affair or secret relationship of some kind.
Keep in mind this Stroup DNA direct match could come from his father Solomon, if Solomon was actually the non-paternal event.
If it comes from Solomon, then all the Belew descendants from him are actually Stroup's. If it's from Silas, then it only effects his line of descendants.
From what I remember, the NPE was narrowed down to Solomon or Silas, but not any closer to current time in the decent line, as other results match in later generations.
These results came down via John Larkin Belew, son of Silas.
Note: Silas and his young wife lived next to a Stroup family in the 1850 census.
