SILAS O. CHURCHILL

Silas O. Churchill, one of the highly regarded residents of Uniondale, d ied at his home on Friday morning after a lingering illness. Deceases w as born in Herrick township on July 15, 1844, th son of Rev. and Mrs. W illiam Churchill. He resided on the old homestead until five years ago w hen he purchased a home in Uniondale. On March 16, 1868, he was united i n marriage to Miss Helen Carpenter, also of Herrick, by whom he is sur vived. Besides his widow he is survived by a daughter, Mrs Joseph Flet cher, of Netcong, NJ; four sons, Ira and Clarence of Uniondale, Bert, o f Johnson City, NY, and Harry, of Scranton.
