"Silas D. Dexter, son of Jonathan and Pheobe Ann (Reynolds) Dexter, was born 30 August 1857 and died 28 July 1922 (S.D. Bible Record). He operated the Pond View Boarding House.[at Beach Lake??] He married, about 1880, Emma Bernsdorff, who was born in Germany, 23 April 1863, and died at the home of her daughter, Victoria Freiermuth, at Atco, PA, 4 June 1930 after two years of illness. She immigrated with her family from Germany when she was nine years of age, (DVN 13 June 1930). Silas and Emma were buried in the Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY. "
