Yes, this will has to be that of Aaron's brother, Jonathan III. I think Beverly was the source of the 1888 death date but that may have come from the Glen Cove Cemetery Listing on the internet [No-bbg] . Popliearz gives the death date of 1/22/1868 (Silas Dexter Bible Record). Will was probated February, 1868. From Popliearz book: "He <Jonathan> married at Cochecton, NY, on 4 Jan. 1825, for his first wife, Jennette Seymour (SD Bible Record), although an obituary of Moses Y. Dexter gives her last name as "Young" (TWI 3 May 1899). She was born in 1805 and died 8 April 1834 (SD Bible Record)."

"Jonathan married, at Cochecton, on 30 June 1836, for his second wife, Phoebe Ann Reynolds, daughter of Jonathan and Mary (O'Toole) Reynolds (Coe F. Dexter ms.; SD Bible Record). she was born in NY, 4 May 1819 and died at Scranton, PA, 12 January 1900 (ibid.; TWI 24 Jan 1900). She was the sister of Permelia Reynolds who married Daniel Dexter. Jonathan and Phoebe were buried in Glen Cove Cem, Narrowsburg, NY." Hope this helps clear things up, Todd
