"Three of Simeon and Rebecca's son's Simeon Jr, Joseph H, and William Dallas all died in 1880 and were buried in Rocky Bayou Cemetery Niceville, Florida. He enlisted at Fort Barrancas, Pensacola, Florida and became a corporal before mustering out in 1865. Because of military related injuries in later years he received a Civil War disability pension. Simeon and Rebecca lived at Blackwater in Milton Florida until 1887, when they moved to Mary Esther on Colar Bayour." Page 118
