Simon stated in court in 1659 that he was about 27 years old so it is probable that he was born in 1632.
He married secondly Priscilla Rogers on 1/19/1681-2.
The Coolidge Genealogy states that Simon inherited a portion of his father's estate and remained on his farm in Watertown. Simon's acres were located near the Cambridge line. He also purchased other properties. On 9/5/1666 the selectmen of the town sold him 6 acres of swamp bounded on the east by the land of John Thompson, on the north by the land of John Tucker and the highway, on the west by the highway and on the south by the land of William Eaton and the highway.
At a general town meeting on 11/1/1669, he was chosen surveyor of highways and at another meeting on 11/7/1670, he was appointed constable for that year.
Per Descendants of John and Mary Coolidge of Watertown, MA, p. 154, the administration of Simon's estate was granted on 1/15/1693-4 to Joseph Coolidge and to Nathaniel Bright with William Shattuck and John Warren as sureties. Inventory of the estate amounted to £66, 12 shillings 3 d. and it was agreed by the heirs that Obadiah Coolidge, Simon's son should have the housing and lands and that Priscilla, Simon's widow should have the west end of the dwelling as long as she remained a widow.
