Biographical Summary
"Son of Sir Alexander Drummond of Medhope. On the 17th May 1608, he presented to the court a letter from the king, whereby they were required to try the qualifications of himself, Peter Rollock of Piltoun, and Thomas Henderson, advocate, and admit to the vacant seat the best qualified of the three. Lord Hailes correctly remarks, that upon such occasions the presenter of the king's letter was generally found the best qualified...
...He died, according to Sir James Balfour, a very learned judge, on the 15th July 1619."
