"Sir Archibald Grant, Baronet [S. 1705], of Monymusk, 1st s. and h. by 1st wife, b. 7 May 1760; admitted to Lincoln's Inn, 22 Sep. 1774 ; Advocate, 7 July 1781 ; suc. to the Baronetcy, 30 Sep. 1796. He m. 1 Jan. 1788, at Kinordy, Mary, only child of Major John Forbes, of Newe, co. Aberdeen (who d. s.p.m. 1 Feb. 1792), by Anne, da. of (— ) Duff, of Muirton. He d. 17 April 1820, aged 59. Will pr. 1821. His widow, who was b. 7 Aug. 1769, d. 15 Nov. 1852, at Woodhill, Aberdeen."
