Biographical Summary
Sir Edward Boughton, Bart. [1641], of Lawford Hall aforesaid, and of Boston Court, co. Hereford cousin and h. male, being s. and h. of Shuckburgh Boughton, of Poston Court aforesaid, by Mary, da. of the Hon. Algernon Greville, 2d s. of Fulke, 5th Baron Brooke or Beauchamp's Court, which Shuckburgh Boughton (who d. 1763, aged 60) was s. of the 4th Bart., by his 2d wife, Catherine, da. of Sir Charles Shuckburqh, 2d Bart. [1660]. He was b. about 1742 ; suc. to the Baronetcy, 29 Aug. 1780; pulled down Lawford Hall and sold most of the estates in Warwickshire and Leicestershire to enlarge those at Poston Court, etc., in Herefordshire, which had been purchased by his father. He was Sherifif for Herefordshire, 1786-87. He d. unm. s.p. legit. 26 Feb. 1794, in his 53d year, and was bur. m Vow church, co. Hereford. Will pr. April 1794.
