Biographical Summary

"Sir Francis Alexander Mackenzie, Baronet [S. 1703], of Gairloch and Conan, 1st s. and h., by 2d wife ; b. 1798, suc. to the Baronetcy, 26 April 1826. He m. firstly, 10 Aug. 1829, Kytha Caroline, 1st da. of J. Smith Wright, of Rempstone Hall, Notts. She d. in childbirth, May 1834, at Gairloch, aged 23. Will pr. July 1852. He m. secondly, 25 Oct. 1836, at Coggeshall, Essex, Mary, da. of Osgood Hanbury, of Holfield Grange in that parish, by Susanna Willet, da. of John Barclay, of London, banker. He d. 2 June 1843 in his 45th year. His widow d. 8 March 1901."
