Biographical Summary
"Sir George Hamilton of Foderance - was admitted an Ordinary Lord on the 8th November 1627, in place of Lord Kilsyth deceased, and knighted by Charles I. at Holyrood on 14th July 1633, in which year he was also appointed a parliamentary commissioner for surveying the laws...
...He was a member of commission for revising and arranging the laws, passed on 15th March 1649, but died shortly after, as the place vacant by his decease was bestowed on John Dickson of Hartrie in August following."
