Sir John Hume, 3rd Baronet

Biographical Summary

"Sir Gustavus Hume, Baronet [S 1638], of Castle Hume, 3rd but only surviving son and heir, born about 1670; succeeded to the Baronetcy, 23 June 1695; was Sheriff for co Fermanagh, 1701; M.P. [I] thereof 1713-14, 1715-27 and 1727 till his death; P.C. [I] to George I, 1714. He married 11 September 1697, at St Michan's, Dublin (Lic. dat. 10 September 1697), Alice, 1st daughter of Henry (Moore), 3rd Earl of Drogheda [I], by Mary, daughter of Sir John Cole, 1st Baronet [I 1660], of Newland co Dublin. He died s.p.m.s. 25 October 1731. His widow, who was baptized 29 December 1679, died at Dublin 13 April 1750."
