Sir Harold Edgar Yarrow, 2nd Bt. was born on 11 August 1884. He is the son of Sir Alfred Fernandez Yarrow, 1st Bt. and Minnie Florence Franklin. He married Eleanor Etheldreda Aitken, daughter of Reverend Canon William Hay Macdowall Hunter Aitken, on 27 February 1906. He married Rosalynde Lodge, daughter of Sir Oliver Joseph Lodge and Mary Fanny Alexander Marshall, on 6 February 1935. He died on 19 April 1962 at age 77, by her:.
He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Yarrow. He was educated Bedford Sch and Tech College. He was Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) ) in 1918. He was engr and shipbuilder, chairman Yarrow and County and Clydesdale and N of Scotland Bank, dir Midland Bank, chm: Instn of Eng and Shipbuilders Scotland, V-Pres Instn Naval Architects, Honour Doctor of Law (LL.D.) Glasgow in 1953. He was Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) ( in 1958.
