"Sir Henry Thomas Farquhar, Baronet [1796], 1st s. and h., b. 13 Sep. 1838, in Upper Brook street ; ed at Harrow ; suc. to the Baronetcy, 15 July 1900; resided at Gilmilnscroft, near Mauchline, co. Ayr. He m. 8 July 1862, at St. James'. Westm., Alice, 1st da. of Henry William Bouverie (Beand), 1st Viscount Hampden of Glynde (many years Speaker of the House of Commons), by Eliza, da. of Gen. Robert Ellice. She was b. 24 March 1840."
