Source for birth and death - Ormerod, Calveley of Lea Pedigree

According to Ormerod Sir Hugh (Lord of Lea) was underage (viz 12) when his father (Hslao High) died in 1833.

Some douibt about who was the mother of Hugh's children. Footnote in Omerod states that Hugh may have been married to Maragret Done, according to the Done pedigree but in the more reliable Egerton pedigree , Hugh was married (2) to Margery Mainwaring widow of Philip de Eggerton. He is also shown in 1st marrriage to Margery Grosvenor. Dates favour Margery Grosvenor as being the mother of Hugh's children. - Matrimony still unresolved - TPD 30/1/2023.

He fought in the Wars of the Roses on The Lancastrian side, as did many of his kinsmen, but died in the Battle of Blore Heath in 1459.
