"Sir Hugh Hamilton, Baronet [S. 1703], of Rosehall, only br. and h. ; suc. to the Baronetcy, 15 March 1750, and was served heir to his br. 27 Nov. following. He m. 23 June 1750, Margaret, da. of James Stirling, of Keir. He d. s.p.m., 29 Aug. 1755, at Rosehall, when the issue of the grantee became extinct, and the Baronetcy became dormant."
