  • James Mauleverer, Esq., of Arncliffe, Yorksire. Son of Sir William Mauleverer and Eleanor Aldburgh. Grandson of Edmund Mauleverer and Mary Danby, Richard Aldburgh and Eleanor Goldesborough.
  • Husband of Beatrice Hutton, daughter of Sir Timothy Hutton of Marske, Yorkshire and Elizabeth Bowes, daughter of Sir George and descendant of King John. They were married at Richmond, Yorkshire on 27 Nov 1613. They had at least two sons, Timothy and Edmund.
  • James failed to pay compensation in lieu of accepting his knighthood and was fined £2000. The debt, and payment of this fine, as well as debt incurred before and during the civil war led to his bankruptcy. His son, Timothy, supported him in his last years, but James died a prisoner for debt in York Castle, and was buried at St Mary's at Castle Gate.

Seventh son of James Mauleverer and Beatrice Hutton. Grandson of Sir William Mauleverer and Eleanor Aldburgh Sir Timothy Hutton of Marske and Elizabeth Bowes, daughter of Sir George, descendant of King John.

Husband of Anne Pearson, married in a Quaker ceremony at Kirby Grindalyth, Yorkshire 03 May 1666. Father of Anne who married John Abbott, yeoman of Nottingham.

Edmund's name was one of a long list of Quakers who were denounced at the Quaker Session at Helmsley in 1664.

His wife married a second time to Matthew Watson of Scarborough, Yorkshire, in a Quaker ceremony on 07 Sept 1681, two years after Edmund's death.

Matthew, Anne, and her daughter, Anne immigrated to the colonies in 1682, where Matthew became a landowner in the Burlington Township of New Jersey.
