Sir Jean de St. Leger

Crusader 1097. Show in the list of Norman knights at the 1st Crusade who accompanied Robert Duke of Normandy, in 1096. It is possible that Jean founded a family of St Legers found in Pays De Caux in ancient times. The Christian name of Jean is very prominent in that family. There was a Jean St. Leger with the King Philip Augustus in Palestine in 1191.

There was a Jean St. Leger with the King Philip Augustus in Palestine in 1191. A Jean St. Leger was also a Benedictine and Abbot of St Wandrille in the 14th century. Yet another Jean St. Leger served with Henry of Navarre.
