John Blair III and Beatrix Mortoun his spouce had a charter of the 2 merk 6 s-8d land of Mydiilchintrane, within the earldom of Carrick upon regisgnatin of James Shaw of Salquhy, dated at Edinburgh 10th March 1501. They left three children:

• John Blair IV who succeeded

• Elizabeth Blair was married to Ninian Stewart of Bue, covered by a charger dated 15th August 1529.
