- Sir John Bramston, G.C.M.G. Our London correspondent, in a cable gram on Sept. 15, announced the death of Sir John Bramston, G.C.M.G., a former Assistant Under-Secretary for the Colonies (1876-97). The deceased, who was 90 years of age, was associated with, political life in Queensland from 1863 to 1873. In the last mentioned year he was Attorney General in that State. From Australia he went to Hong Kong for three years. In 1898 he was a Royal Commissioner in Newfoundland.
