looks like this John Carington was son of GEORGE Carington, son of William Carington. There is a fraudulent Carington pedigree (fabricated for the "Carrington - Smith's of Essex" in the Tudor era) exposed by J. Horace Round in his 1910 article, "The Page 137 of Peerage and pedigree : studies in peerage law and family history, vol. 2. "The Great Carington Imposture."
