Simon Constable and Katherine were clearly married by September 1277, when Simon took control of the Estates and property of Katherine's former husband, John de Danthorp.
The Visitations of Yorkshire suggest that Katherine, daughter of Robert Cumberworth, married Simon Constable. However his wife Katherine was the daughter of Philip de Wyvelesby.
So perhaps Sir John Danthorpe was twice married:
- 1) Katherine, daughter of Robert Cumberworth
- 2) Katherine, daughter of Philip de Wyvelseby
