Sir John Moncreiff of Tippermalloch, 5th Baronet

Biographical Summary

"Sir John Moncreiff, Baronet [S 1626] of Tippermalloch cousin and heir male, being only son and heir of Hugh Moncreiff (living 12 October 1666) by Isabel, daughter of (--) Hay of Megginch, co Perth, which Hugh Moncreiff was next brother to the 1st Baronet. He was born about 1628; succeeded to the Baronetcy in 1698. He was a physician. He married about 1680, Nicholas, daughter of (--) Moncreiff, of Easter Moncreiff. Was living 1709, having then relinquished his estates to his son. He died 27 April 1714, aged 86."
