John Seyton was born about 1346 in Twyford, Buckinghamshire, England, the son of sir John de Seyton and Bridget Basset. He died in 1396 in Jerusalem .
His wife was Joan Longueville. They were married, but the date and place have not been found.
Their two known children were

- Elizabeth (c1365-1407).

(fn. 87) In 1283 Ellis settled 85 a. on the marriage of John's daughter Alice to his own ward Robert de Vaux, (fn. 88) of age by 1305...
