About Sir John Wynne

John Wynn ( c. 1584 - 1614 ) was educated at Bedford School and Lincoln's Inn . He was high sheriff of Merioneth in 1611-12 , and was knighted in 1613 . His marriage to Margaret , daughter of Sir Thomas Cave , appears to have been unhappy, and he travelled in France and Italy , 1613-14. He died while abroad, at Lucca, Tuscany, Italy, in 1614 , possibly in the Roman faith. Some sources state he died of the plague.
