He married (2nd) at Deighton, Yorkshire by License dated 22 Oct. 1494 ELIZABETH NEVILLE, widow of Thomas Scrope, Lord Scrope of Masham and Upsall (died 23 April 1493), and 2nd daughter of John Neville, Knt., K.G., Marquess of Montagu, by Isabel, daughter and heiress of Edmund Ingaldesthorpe, Knt. They had no issue. SIR HENRY WENTWORTH left a will dated 17 August 1499, proved 27 Feb 1500/1 (P.C.C. 20 Moone). He was buried in Newhouse Abbey, Lincolnshire. His widow, Elizabeth, died testate (P.C.C. 21 Maynwaryng) in Sept. 1517, and was buried with her 1st husband at Black Friars, Ludgate, London.

He married ANNE TYRRELL, daughter of James Tyrrell, Knt., K.B., of Gipping, Suffolk, by Anne, daughter of John Arundell, Knt. [see MORLEY 11 for her ancestry]. They had three sons, Thomas, Knt., Philip, and Richard, and five daughters, Anne, Elizabeth, Margery (wife of Christopher Glemham, Esq., and Francis Colby, Esq.), Dorothy (wife of Lionel Tollemache, Esq.), and Thomasine (wife of Richard Pinder). He was knighted in 1509 by King Henry VIII on the eve of the king's Coronation. SIR RICHARD WENTWORTH died testate (P.C.C. 40 Porch) 17 Oct. 1528, and was buried at Friars Minor, Ipswich. His widow, Anne, was living 11 Nov. 1529.
