Sir Patrick Murray of Deuchar

Biographical Summary

"(304) Sir Patrick Murray of Deuchar, third son of James (No. 295 above), baptised 19th September 1626; died 21st January 1689. He was M.P. for Selkirkshire 1665-67-69-74. He married Eupheme Baird, buried Greyfriars, Edinburgh, 23rd January 1689, and had:-

• James (No. 305 below).
• Patrick (No. 307 below).
• John Murray.

ARMS recorded in Lyon Office, 1672-77. - Argent, a hunting horn sable, garnished gules; on a chief azure three mullets of the field; a bordure of the third. CREST: An escallop gules. MOTTO : "Fidei signum." [Plate V., fig. 11.]"
