Sir Peter Stanley, 2nd Bt. was born on 29 May 1626.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Stanley, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Pitt.2 He married Elizabeth Leigh, daughter of Sir John Leigh, in 1650.1 He died circa 1 October 1683.1 He was buried on 4 October 1683.1

He was admitted to Gray's Inn.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Stanley, of Alderley [E., 1660] circa 28 August 1672.1 He lived at Alderley, Cheshire, England.1 He lived at Weever, Cheshire, England.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Cheshire in 1677.1
