Sir Richard Norton, 2nd Baronet Norton of Rotherfield

Sir Richard Norton, Bart. [1622], of Rotherfield, 1st s. and. h. b. 1619; matric. at Oxford (Mag. Coll.), 1 March 1635/6, aged 17; suc. to the Baronetcy in 1645, and compounded for his delinquency, 28 Aug. 1645, by fine of £100. He m. Elizabeth. He d. s.p.m. Will dat. 26 July and pr. 5 Oct. 1652. His widow m. as his 3d wife (Lic. Vic. Gen., 11 Feb. 1660/1, he 50, widower, and she 30, widow), Sir Humphrey Bennet, of Petersfield, Hants, who d. Dec. 1667.

Elizabeth, his posthumous da. and h., m. (Lic. Vic. Gen. 20 May 1674) Francis Paulet, of Awport (aged 40 in 1686, when he recorded his pedigree), and had issue. He was grandson of of the 4th and grandfather of the 12th Marquess of Winchester.
