"Sir Robert Drummond Moncreiffe, Baronet [S. 1685], of Moncreiffe, 1st s. and h., b. there 3 Nov. 1856 ; ed. at Harrow ; sometime Lieut. Scots Guards, retiring 1881 ; suc. to the Baronetcy, 15 Aug. 1879; Lieut.-Col. 4th Vol. Batt. Black Watch (Royal Highlanders). He m. 6 April 1880, at St. Paul's, Knightsbridge, Evelyn Elizabeth Vane, 1st da. of his maternal uncle Col. the Hon. Charles Rowley Hay-Drummond, of Cromlix co. Perth, by Arabella Augnsta, da. of Col. William Henry Meyrick. She was b. 27 Oct. 1858."
