Sir Robert Frankland-Russell, 7th Bt (16 July 1784-11 March 1849)

Sir Robert Frankland-Russell, 7th Bt. was born on 16 July 1784.2 the son of Sir Thomas Frankland, 6th Bt. and Dorothy Smelt.2 He married Louisa Ann Murray, daughter of Rt. Rev. Lord George Murray and Anne Charlotte Grant, on 30 November 1815.3 He died on 11 March 1849 at age 64.2

• He was given the name of Robert Frankland at birth.2
• He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thirsk between 1815 and 1834.2
• He inherited from the Russell family Chequers Court, Buckinghamshire.2
• He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Russell, of Thirkleby [E., 1660] on 4 January 1831.2
• In 1837 his name was legally changed to Robert Frankland-Russell by Royal Licence.2
• He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1838.2
