Sir Robert John Abercromby of Birkenbog, 7th Baronet

Biographical Summary

"Sir Robert John Abercromby, Baronet [S 1636] of Birkenbog and Forglen House, son and heir, born 14 June 1850 in Chester Square, Middlesex; educated at Eton; succeeded to the Baronetcy 14 November 1872; Vice-Lieut. of co Banff. He married 26 June 1883, at Aspley Guise, Beds., Florence Anita Erye, only daughter of Eyre Coote, of West Park, Rockburne, Hants, by Jessie Mary, daughter of Major-Gen. Henry Lochmere Worrall. He died at Forglen House 24 July 1895, aged 45. His widow, who was born 23 December 1860, at Florence, and baptized in the English Church there, married 10 June 1899, at St Saviour's, Walton Place, as his 2nd wife, Francis George Baring, styled Viscount Baring, son and hei apparent of Thomas George, 2nd Earl of Northbrook."
