The Beauchamp property descended on the death of Edith Shottesbrooke to her daughter Margaret Beauchamp. She married first Oliver St. John (d. c. 1435), secondly John Beaufort, Duke of Somerset, and finally Leo Welles, Lord Welles, a Lancastrian slain at the Battle of Towton in 1461. (fn. 120)
