  ROBERT de Tresgoz .  m JULIANE de Cauntelo, daughter of WILLIAM de Cauntelo & his wife Melisende de Gournay.  Robert & his wife had one child: 

a) JOHN de Tresgoz . "Dame Julian Tresgoze…espouse…a Sr Robert Tresgoos le Second" wrote to "son frère St Thomas de Cantlow, Euesque…de Hereford" and names her son "John Tresgoos" married "la reyne Blanch" [widow of Louis VIII King of France, such a second marriage being impossible chronologically] and had "un fils…Hugh…nostre ayle", who married "la soer le count Renaud de Boloyng", whose daughter "Milsent nostre mere" married "a Count de Euoyse en Normandy" by whom she had one son and one daughter, before marrying "Will de Cantelow nostre pere"[230]. m MABEL, daughter of FULK FitzWarin & his wife --- de Clifford. "Dame Julian Tresgoze…espouse…a Sr Robert Tresgoos le Second" records that her son "John Tresgoos" married "Mabill file a noble…chevalier Foulk Fitz-Warren qui avoit a feme le soer Sr Rog de Clifford"[231]. John & his wife had two children:

i) CLARISSA . "Dame Julian Tresgoze…espouse…a Sr Robert Tresgoos le Second" names "Clarissa" as the elder daughter of "John Tresgoos" and his wife, adding that she married "Sr Roger la Ware"[232]. m Sir ROGER la Warre, son of ---.

    Robert II de Tregoz, Baron of Ewyas Harold joined the baronial banner in the reign of Henry III.2 He held barony of Ewyas Harold at Herefordshire, England.3 He was born circa 1194. He was the son of Robert I de Tregoz, Sheriff of Wiltshire and Sibyl de Ewias.2 Robert II de Tregoz, Baron of Ewyas Harold married Julia de Cantilupe, daughter of William de Cantilupe and Millicent de Gournay.4,2,5 Arms: Gules, two bars gemel or, in chief a lion passant of the last.6 Robert II de Tregoz, Baron of Ewyas Harold died after 1258. He had a military summons to march against the Welsh in 1257/58 at 42 Henry III.2 2nd Baron's War - The Crown defeats Simon de Montfort's, Earl of Leicester's, forces, killing and beheading him. On 4 August 1265 at the Battle of Evesham, Worcestershire, England.7 He died on 4 August 1265 at the Battle of Evesham, Hereford and Worcestershire, England. He was killed in battle while fighting on the side of the rebellious barons under Simon de Montfort.2

Robert De Tregoz - Lord Baron Juliana DE CANTELOU "Sir Robert de Tregoze, eldest son and heir, succeeded his father in his immense Wiltshire and Hereford estates, and was Baron Tregoze of Lydiard Tregoze in former county and Lord of Ewyas Harold in the latter, in right of his mother. He did homage and had livery of his mother's estates in Hereford, 1236, paying œ100 for his relief. He was living 40th of Henry III, 1256, and two years afterward was summoned to march against the Welsh, but in joining the rebellious barons of this reign, the same year was slain at the Battle of Evesham, Aug. 4, 1265, having had to wife Juliana, daughter William, Lord Catilupe by Millicent, daughter of Hugh de Gournai. Which Juliana brought the manor of Great Dodington in Northampton into the Tregoze family and bore her husband two children. By Roll of Arms compiled between 1240 and 1245 we find that Robert bore "Gules 3 bars gemels or, a lion passant in the chief of the same." He was lord of Lydiard Tregoze, and lord of Ewyas Harold. He was the eldest son and heir, and succeeded his father in his immense Wiltshire and Herefordshire possessions, the lordship of Ewyas Harold to him in right of his mother. He was closely associated with Henry III and for many years, 1226-1241, received 20 punds per year "to keep him in the royal service." He did homage and had livery of his mother's estates in Herefordshire in 1236, paying 100 pounds for his relief. He was living in 1256, and in 1258 was summoned to march algainst the Welsh. In October, 1261, he was among the trusted tenants whom the King, faced with the opposition of Simon de Montfort, called to London. On September 1, 1265, a month after the battle of Evesham, he had a gift of six stags from the King." Juliana DE CANTELOU.
