Sir Roger Bacon, was a cammander in the wars during the time of Edward II & Edward III. He was the son of Sir Henry Bacon, son of another Sir Henry, a judge itinerant during the time of Henry III, and lineally descended from Grimbaldus, the first of this family in England.
