Sir Thomas Barnardiston

[Surname derived from a town called Barnarston or Barnston, contiguous to Ketton of which they have been owners - before the Conquest (William the Conqueror - 1066)

The Barnardistons had a seat at Ketton or Kedyton Hall, Kedington, Suffolk. The noble families of Howard, Dukes of Norfolk, etc., and Maynard were descended from them by their maternal ancestors.]
