Sir Thomas Charles Bunbury, 6th Bt. was born in May 1740. He was the son of Reverend Sir William Bunbury, 5th Bt. and Eleanor Graham. He married, firstly, Lady Sarah Lennox, daughter of General Charles Lennox, 2nd Duke of Richmond and Lady Sarah Cadogan, on 2 June 1762 at Holland House Chapel, Kensington, London, England. He and Lady Sarah Lennox were divorced on 14 May 1776 dissolved by Act of Parliament. He married, secondly, Margaret (?) after 1776. He died on 31 March 1821 at age 80 at Pall Mall, London, England, without issue. His will was proven (by probate) in June 1821.
Sir Thomas Charles Bunbury, 6th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Charles. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Suffolk between 1761 and 1784. He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Bunbury, of Bunbury and Stanney, co. Chester [E., 1681] on 11 June 1764. He graduated from St. Catharine's Hall Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1765 with a Master of Arts (M.A.) He lived at Barton, Suffolk, England. He sold the estate of Bunbury. He held the office of Sheriff of Suffolk between 1788 and 1789. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Suffolk between 1790 and 1812.
