Sir Thomas Coventry was born in 1547. He was the son of Richard Coventry. He married Margaret Jeffries, daughter of William Jeffries. He died on 12 December 1606. Sir Thomas Coventry graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1565 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). He was a Fellow in 1566 at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. He was a practising barrister in 1568. He held the office of Bencher of the Inner Temple in 1591. He was a practising Serjeant-at-Law in 1603. He held the office of King's Serjeant in 1605. He was invested as a Knight in 1606. He held the office of Justice of the Court of Common Pleas in 1606.
