About Sir William Kerr of Greenhead, 4th Baronet
Biographical Summary
"Sir William Kerr, Baronet [S 1637] of Greenhead, grandson and heir, being only son and heir of Andrew Kerr, a Commissioner of Supply, 1698-1704, Helen Hay, his wife, which Andrew was 1st son and heir apparent of the late Baronet, but died v.p. before March 1718. His house at Bridgend, Kelso, with all its contents was destroyed by fire in August 1741. He succeeded to the Baronetcy on the death of his grandfather, being served heir to his father, his grandfather and great uncle 30 March 1721. He died s.p., August 1741."
