Sister Mary Donata “Christina” Hansen

Funeral services were held Wednes-day, January 23, at Mount St. Francis, for Sister Donata Hansen, Dubuque Franciscan for 63 years.
Sister Donata, daughter of John and Katherine Jasper Hansen, was born 0c-tober 27, 1896, in Alton, Iowa. She entered Mount St. Francis August 27, 1915, from Alton and made her first profession of vows June 24, 1918
Among the missions where Sister Do. nata served as an elementary school teacher are Garnavillo; New Hampton;
Pomeroy; St Anthony's Home and Riv. erside, Sioux City: Monticello; St Mary's, Waterloo; and Midlothian, Ill.
In 1967 Sister retired to I C Convent and later to Holy Family Hall
Surviving is one brother, Emil of LeMars. In the Dubuque Franciscans is a niece, Sister Margaret Hansen
