Giving certain items concerning Richard Elkins (possible father of Gabriel) he most likely resided within the same parish as the parents of Stacy Dillard (first wife of Gabriel) which most likely is where they were married.

Gabriel is believed to have married a second time and had one child Gabriel Murphy ELKINS he is believed to have beenborn abt. 1814. It is really not known if Gabriel Murphy ELKINS was the son of his first marriage, second marriage if there was one or his last wife Sophia DILLARD.

We do know that he married Sophia DILLARD, a cousin (probably not first cousin) of his first wife Stacy.

Any reference to Find A Grave memorial by Bobby & Carol BabinEstes is WRONG. Bobby has no proof. He made an assumption. When I spoke to him 20 yrs. ago he refused to remove the memorial. He didn't even research this family, he stole the information which was private. Find A Grave was contacted as well and they have yet to take down the false information.

• Gabriel had many children by three Wives. Most witn first wife Stacy Dillard, married 1787, and ended by her death about 1812. Probably had just One child with second Wife, that being Murphy Gabriel about 1814, when Marie Pendleton died ( probably in childbirth. Children born after 1814 were with Sophie Dillard.
