<p>1914 - assumes care for the family while his father is fighting in WWI and begins transporting wheat flour and grains</p> <p>1915-18 - possibly apprentices as a tailor with the 'General Labour Tailoring Workshop' ('Obshta trudova shivachna rabotilnica')</p> <p>1918 - secretary in the village council of Muratlar (now, Buynovo), a predominantly Turkish and Muslim locality</p> <p>1923 - participant in the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_Uprising together with his acquaintance, Stephan Yankov, a [Communist] Party functionary</p> <p>1927 -birth of son, Dimitri, the first Bulgarian and Christian boy to have been born in the village</p> <p>1940s - becomes member of Bulgarian Agricultural National Union, a political party representing the interests of the countryside, a maintains his membership after the communist coup d'etat on 09 Sep 1944 and becomes member of the provincial governing body of that party. </p> <p>1950s - severely repressed and tortured by Comminist authorities on some three occasions during the collectivisation period, for being a landowner and refusing to join a collective farm. </p> <p>1969 - dies. Was known to be a heavy smoker. Some suspicion exists that he may have been given incorrect medical treatment by doctors, by way of an injection which gave him an asphyxiating end. </p>
