About Stane Janje Erceg (Borić)
Stana was the only child from 7 children to survive. She lived to 93 years. Their house was just behind the port. She had an oven for making bread. She had a sharp brain and could not be double crossed when dealing with her. When her husband went to Alaska and the gold mines, she managed the household. She had a very long gold chain that must have been quite valuable. It was divided into four lengths for the wives of her four sons.
