Last time seen in July 1944 in Kaunas when Russian army began the occupation of Lithuania. We were told that the Russians deported him to Siberia. Never seen since. No records of his grave or whereabouts. Before Bolshevik revolution his mother was educated in St. Petersburg in the Instytut Smolny (The Smolny Institute) – siedziba Instytutu Szlachetnie Urodzonych Panien (ros. Смольный институт благородных девиц).
