Stanley "Stan" Herbst (1951 - 2003)

Brief overview:

Stan (52), the maintenance manager for Barloworld Farms/manager of Klondyk Farm, was gunned down and died instantly, in his bedroom, on 20th September 2003. The attacker was shot and killed by Sue Herbst (49), Stan's wife. The first bullet hitting him in the stomach, and as he was escaping back out of the window he entered, she fired and shot him in the back.

Police found a cellphone on the intruder and dialled the last number he had called. The man who answered agreed to identify the suspect's body at Pilgrim's Rest police station, but could identify him only as Isaac from Mahushu near Hazyview.
