Funeral services for Stanley Watne, 73, Cooperstown, were held Saturday, November 14, 1992 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown.
Stanley Watne was born April 19, 1919 near Binford, ND, the son of Cornelius and Lena (Amundson) Watne. He grew up and attended school there.
He farmed in the Binford area until retiring in 1978. He moved to Cooperstown in 1983. He died at his home one mile south of Cooperstown, Wednesday, November 11.
He is survived by: two brothers, Raymond of Binford, ND, and Chester of Cooperstown, ND; three sisters, Gladys Martin and Shirley, Mrs. Carrol Retzlaff, both of Cooperstown, ND, and Mabel Mergenthal of Hillsboro, ND.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Lillian Mergenthal and one brother, Vernie Watne.
