Boer Lemietrivier en Soetendal, Wagenmakersvallei. Hy was gebreklik.- Translated to English Farmed at Lemietriver and Soetendal, Tulbagh, He was disabled.

Stephanus was also known as 'Estienne' and farmed on the farms "Soetendal" and "Lemietrivier" in the Wagenmakersvallei.

He was a member of the church council.
According to the will and testament of his parents he was a cripple. It is not known what the problem was or how serious it was. It appears that he was born a cripple and that his parents felt that they were responsible as they favoured him in their will (in addition to receiving the farm "Lemietrivier" he was to receive 800 "Caabse guldens" - more than the shared guldens with the other children). His problem was not too serious, however, as he was married twice and had 12 children. In addition he was also a good farmer.
