1708 - Family History Centre, LDS - Massachusetts Marriages 1695-1910; reference years 1682-1842; microfilm 904579, page 26 - Stephen Churchel & Experience Ellis 02 Dec 1708 at Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts. 1708 - Massachusetts Vital Records to 1850: 1708 Sandwich - Marriages " The marriage between Stephen Churchel of Plimouth and Experience Ellis of Sandwich Solomized before Stephen Skeefe Esquire Justice of the Peace at Sandwich the second day of Decemr Anno Domino 1708 " - Vol Sandwich-V1 pages(s) 73.

1727 - History of Plymouth by William Davis - In March of 1727 he was appointed to a committee of the Plimouth Colony to develope a method of controling fires within the settlement. It was decided by the committee in Jan.1728, " that every household should be required to keep at least one if not two ladders at their homes at all times. Also his father Eleizer was required to keep two hogshead of water at his house at Jabez Corner as part of the plan ".

1733 - PCR - He was appointed one of the seven Selectmen to manage the day to day affairs of the Plymouth Colony for the following years: 1733, 1734, 1736, 1737, 1739, 1743 thru 1747.

1742 - Massachusetts Archive Collection 1629-1799 Vol 115, Page 004: 10 Dec 1742 " petition submitted to the Govenor and Council by the Selectmen of Plymouth seeking reimbursement for the support and medical care of Moses Clark, an indigent stranger, from the West Indies. Signed by: Churchill, Stephen ( Churchell ) Clarke, Moses Dudley, William ( WD ) Shirley, William Warren, James

A second request by the Selectman on the following day on page 005 signed by Stephen Churchill et al.
