12. vii. STEPHEN BEDON DANIELL, b. 1745, New Hanover Co. NC; d. 1820, Brunswick Co. NC

He married (1) REBECA HOWE.
He married (2) ANN GOODLET HOWE 1769, daughter of ROBERT HOWE and SARAH GRANGE. She was born 1747, and died Bef. September 26, 1796.

New Hanover and Brunswick Counties are one and the same. Clarke Co. GA is now Oconee Co.

Married Twice.

John Daniell & Sarah Raven's 7th child:

Stephen Bedon Daniell b. 1745 d. 1820 Brunswick Co. he was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, He was an officer in the first North Carolina Regiment Continental Battalion when it was established Sept.11775. He was also a member of the of the Committee of Safety in the District from Brunswick Co. June 30, 1775, was promoted April 10,1776; appointed Ensign June 4,1776. Promoted again Jan..1,1777. On August 29,1777 he was transferred to one of the four Regiments of South Carolina as Lieutenant..

m.#1 1769 Ann Goodlet Howe b. 1747 died before her mothers will Sept.26,1796 she was daughter of Major General Robert Howe & Sarah Grange.

Linage of Howe & Grange:

Sarah Grange was Dau. of John Grange, a planter with large plantations on upper Cape Fear River, known as "Grange Farms". Deed records dated Sept.15, 1772 to "General Robert Howe & wife Sarah" -- are signed by her brothers, John Grange,Jr. & Thomas Grange. Brought to court by son-in-law -- Stephen Daniell. They were married 1764. Their home;which was built by his father; was one of the finest Colonial Homes on the Cape Fear River at Howe's Point, in the rear of old Colonial Fort built for defense against pirates who infested the harbor and river. (near now Wilmington,NC)

Lived in Little River SC His plantation adjoined Little River on the North side; bound to the east by 400 acre tract owned by Joseph J, Vereen on Mullet Creak & Little River who was a cousin, son of Elizabeth Raven Daniell and Jermiah Vereen.[15]
